Safety, Quality, and Environment

Safety

When it comes to work, CBO understands that nothing is as important as the safety of our employees and the teams we work with. We have dedicated ourselves to creating and upholding a strong safety program through continuous education and training for our staff and ensuring that every project is thoroughly evaluated.

In fulfilling our commitment to protect people, their property and the environment, CBO takes the necessary steps to provide a safe and healthy work environment in accordance with industry standards and in compliance with legislative requirements.

CBO has a proven history with an exemplary safety record, surpassing the expectations of our clients with provision of quality service and unmatched value and flexibility.

Our Corporate Safety Policy is based upon the belief that accidents can be prevented and property damage arising from accidents can be minimized. Accident prevention is paramount in protecting employees, customers, the public and the environment.

We are committed to the highest standards of health and safety.

Quality

CBO recognizes that Quality has a lot to do with client expectations and our ability to consistently deliver to those expectations. CBO Quality is best described then, as the ongoing process of building and sustaining client relationships by assessing, anticipating, and fulfilling stated and implied needs, while minimizing elements which do not add value.

CBO’s culture supports the constant attainment of customer satisfaction through an integrated system of leadership, client focus, personal responsibility, measurement, and improvement (training) and infrastructure (governance, process, and procedures). Our Quality Management System is designed with and conforms to ISO standards, and we execute business activities in a manner that meets or exceeds the requirements of federal, provincial and certification standards for quality. Continuous improvement processes are established and maintained to ensure quality performance is effectively monitored and that improvement actions are implemented, where required.

Sustainability

At Canadian Base Operators, we are passionate about creating a sustainable future. We believe that our collective efforts and our passion for sustainable design can have a positive impact on the environment and the future of our communities.

Our objective is to reduce, minimize, and ultimately eliminate the carbon footprint of buildings. We achieve this by offering integrated solutions for our clients and the communities we serve, alongside implementing responsible operations, maintenance, and management practices that take into account economic, social, and environmental factors.

Through the facilities we manage we have implemented green initiatives to reduce our carbon footprint (e.g., Recycling programs, selecting sustainable building materials, shutoff timers for lights, going paperless etc.) A goal in CBO’s future is to further develop our environmental efforts and create GHG reduction targets.
