Canadian Base Operators Supports and Inspires Future Firefighters at Camp Molly Grey Highlands

From August 13-16, 2026, Canadian Base Operators was proud to support Camp Molly Grey Highlands through a donation and the volunteer efforts of Teresa Caldwell and Chelsea Smith.

Camp Molly provides young women with hands-on firefighting training, leadership development, teamwork challenges, and authentic fire service experiences. Throughout the week, campers challenged themselves through activities including live fire training, forcible entry exercises, and other practical firefighter skills while building confidence and connections that will last a lifetime.

We’re especially proud of Teresa and Chelsea, who volunteered their time and expertise to help campers learn new skills, explore career opportunities in emergency services, and gain valuable insight into the fire service profession.

In addition to sharing their experiences as firefighters at Army Training Centre – Central (Meaford), Teresa and Chelsea highlighted the many career paths that support emergency response across Canadian Base Operators’ operations nationwide, including aircraft rescue firefighting, fire prevention and inspections, hazardous materials response, emergency communications, air traffic control, airfield operations, and specialized safety roles that help keep military training centres and aviation facilities safe.

Thank you to Camp Molly Grey Highlands, Grey Highlands Fire & Emergency Services, Hanover Fire & Rescue, and the many volunteers, sponsors, and community partners whose dedication helps inspire and empower the next generation of firefighters and community leaders.
