During the period of August 18-27, Exercise STALWART GUARDIAN was held at the 4th Canadian Division Training Centre (4CDTC) in Meaford, Ontario. This significant annual Army field exercise increases military traffic on major highways in Central Ontario as personnel and vehicles from across the 4th Canadian Division make their way to Meaford. Approximately 300 Canadian Army Reserve members were involved in Exercise STALWART GUARDIAN this year: specifically Reserve Infantry from 32 Canadian Brigade Group and 33 Canadian Brigade Group who participated in simulated combat operations, coordinated by and involving troops.

CBO’s 15 Wing Moose Jaw Firefighter Samantha Kaluzny volunteered her time as a leader and role model at Camp Molly in White City, Saskatchewan. This was such a great opportunity to empower and educate a group of dynamic young women aged 15 to18 who are interested in pursuing a career in fire services. Canadian Base Operators (CBO) has been selected as a subcontractor for a site support services contract at 15 Wing Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan. CBO joins Serco Canada in delivering industry-leading facility management and operations solutions to the NATO Flying Training in Canada (NFTC) Program. Managed by CAE, NFTC is a comprehensive pilot training program that benefits the Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF) and NATO ally forces.
April 1, 2024 marks 100 years of service of the Royal Canadian Air Force as a ‘distinct military element’. In celebration of this centennial anniversary and commemoration of the men and women who have served, and continue to serve Canada at home and abroad, many events are planned across the country and around the world.
This 2023-2024 hockey season, CBO was proud to be given the opportunity to support an amazing hockey league, Barrhead Fun Hockey (located in Barrhead, Alberta), by outfitting five hockey teams with game jerseys.
10 Years of the B&M Safety Calendar
This year, Black & McDonald (B&M) celebrates 10 years of producing the B&M Safety Calendar. Submissions were requested from kids aged 4 to 12 years and was open to all B&M and subsidiary employees.

50 Years of Serving Those Who Serve
This year Black & McDonald commemorates 50 years of serving those who serve. Since 1973, B&M has successfully won and completed many projects for the Government of Canada, the Department of National Defence and Defence Construction Canada.
As Remembrance Day approaches, CBO will be paying tribute to our employees who are Veterans. We would like to honour them and acknowledge their integral contribution to CBO operations.
