Established in 2011, Emish is a limited partnership between Amauligak Services & Construction Ltd and Black & McDonald. Emish is an Inuit company registered with the Nunatsiavut Government that provides prime contracting and multi-trade projects in the Labrador region.
This longstanding partnership works on largescale projects in the Labrador region, such as Vale’s Voisey’s Bay Mine. Raytheon Canada is currently pursuing the North Warning System (NWS) operation and maintenance contract using a collaborative partnership approach with Canadian Base Operators (CBO) and Inuit-owned companies across the Canadian Arctic and all three applicable comprehensive land claim regions. Emish is readily available to provide support and subcontracting services as needed on this project. This approach will ensure the greatest impact of benefits to Inuit beneficiaries and Inuit-owned companies and firms.
This partnership continues to create new opportunities that benefit local communities by supporting Indigenous suppliers, providing employment opportunities, and bringing economic value to the Labrador region.
