When the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic hit, CBO acquired an emergency supply of personal protective equipment (PPE) and hand sanitizer from operating partner Black & McDonald. CBO worked with Grey Bruce Health Services to identify a suitable location to donate the remainder of our emergency surplus. This led CBO to the Chapman House – a not-for-profit hospice located in Owen Sound, Ontario. The value of the supplies exceeded $41,000. CBO was more than happy to provide some much-needed relief to this organization that relies heavily on fundraising to ensure the health and safety of its residents and staff.
